Background information
Le Club Francais was set up in 1985 to introduce language learning to young children. We now teach over 50,000 children every week in the UK. The course is designed by professional pedagogues and linguists to progress from 3 year olds to 11 year olds. The materials are excellent and all teachers are fully trained in our methodology. The in-school course has been developed according to the government QCA guidelines.
We use games, songs, role-play and activities to allow young children to assimilate a new language in the same way they are learning their mother tongue. Because of the way a child's brain develops, the more they hear of a foreign language when they are young, the easier it is for them to repeat the sounds and acquire a good accent.
We aim to give every child the confidence to express themselves and most importantly we make it FUN!
Our Teachers
All our teachers feel passionately about the benefits of learning a language when children are young, and are enthusiastic, energetic and inspiring teachers who make all clubs both fun and educational.
All club teachers are recruited in accordance with national safe recruitment practice.
This includes enhanced CRB checks for activities or services involving direct contact with children and young people under the age of 18 years and up to 25 years in the case of disabled young people or those in receipt of aftercare services. In addition, as of July 2010, all teachers will become Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) registered over the course of the 5 year registration rolling programme http://www.isa-gov.org.uk/
